Layabout cat Not sure if I ever mentioned it, but there's a cat that decided to start living at Nanyodai Elementary school. She had kittens and they hung around and played at school until they were all adopted. Anyways, she's been walking around like she's the cock of the walk or something. Today, I found her sleeping in the principle's office. I guess she thinks she can get away with this with no repercussions.  THINK AGAIN Hey, we thought it was funny.  |

Food and drink, Oct. 7th My case of E-cans came today.    I'm getting jealous of everyone and their iPhones, so I picked up a G3 today. Kit Kats for sale I found a bunch of these and grabbed them because they have long since stopped being sold in regular stores. Cherry Blossom Kit Kats  29 individual packs. Jubeat. Something different! I went out to the Jubeat tournament today. I didn't make it to the 2nd round, because they only took the top 6 qualifiers, and I came in 7th. I didn't stand a chance anyways, because the top 3 guys were really really good. In fact, the winner just happened to be the #1 ranked player in Japan, so yeeaaaahhh. Can't...stop...drawing... I'm only up to the 2nd gym in Pokemon Platinum because I've been drawing all week. Ironic how I think I'm not getting anything done, when I'm actually doing something productive for once. More drawing. I can't really say I just "whipped this up" this time around, because I pretty much did nothing else all day but work on this. I ran to the post office, and eventually made dinner, but I spent just about all night finishing this up:  Can't get any better if I don't keep practicing. Pokemon drawing It was a 3-day weekend this week, so I had plenty of time to relax and do whatever. I even managed to get a nice game of Castle Crashers in with Pernell. Unfortunately, Jason kept getting disconneted. I think I heard Anne in there somehwere saying "Jayteeeee!" I still to practice doing freehand stuff on this tablet of mine. I should just stick to line/pen for black lines and just color freehand, but I never learn it seems. Anyway, I whipped this up for the heck of it, because the new Rotom forms are great.  |

Tech support post

For about a week now, my laptop (macbook) keyboard has been acting up. Whenever I type stuff stuff will suddenly get highlighted and deleted. It's as if something is making it press shift+left x20+delete. Sometimes, the cursor will just pop back to the middle of the line or something, which makes typing a pain in the ass. I have to type all slow now, just in case things get deleted and I need to undo undo undo or readjust the cursor. It doesn't seem to be one specific key that's doing everything either.
Could it be interfering with the track pad somewhow? No idea.

It's a summer time. I've only gone to work a couple days in the past two weeks, but when I do, I just hang out by the pool.  LOUD CICADA IS LOOOOUUUUUUD!  My my. What could this be?  An animal crossing stationary set based off of the in-game stationary and a deck of cards  ...Animal Crossing cards, of course.  Thanks go out to Scott, because he's tossing his Club Nintendo codes my way, otherwise they'd go to waste. If anyone is feeling generous, I can take those smelly codes off of your hands. Pernell, I'm especially looking at you Mr. 100+ DS games (althought how many of those are imports?). |

Takasaki Matsuri I took the newest JET teacher in Yoshii, Li, over to check out the biggest Matsuri around today. Here's some choice shots: Us and some air conditioner mascot.  Li meeting the business end of his first ever bottle of Ramune.  It was packed.  The pinnacle of Japanese fireworks technology, the Pokeball.  I'm listening to the DDR 5th mix nonstop, and every single time I ever hear the theme to Enter the Dragon, I can't help think of Steve's "enter the pzn" freestyle at June's 5th mix tourney way back in the day. Pokemon za movie
I enjoyed the Giratina/Shaymin movie, but I have to say I enjoyed the Darkrai movie more. There wasn't really much of a "threat" this time around, and things seemed small scale in comparison. Shaymin was cute in the trailers, but had quite the attitude in the movie, which made him/her less likable. Regigigas showed up for all of 5 minutes to stop a glacier and then went back to doing nothing. There wasn't even a well done pokemon battle, except for a really short thing in the beginning. The preview for next year's movie showed that it would be a showdown between Giratina, Dialga, and Palkia, but I'll assume that Arceus shows up to put them all in their place, but we won't hear anything about that until next spring.
All in all, it still was a good movie, but the Darkrai one was better. |
